Experimental Jazz

The Experimental Jazz series features projects that forego any kind of fixed composition and create pieces on the fly by using total improvisation, with the players intently dialed in on what the others are doing. Use of electronics plays a large part in these productions, building on to the work of synthesist Patrick Gleeson with Herbie Hancock as well as composer George Russell’s works for jazz orchestra & surround sound electronics.
